The project activities

BREEDING FARM

UNIT-I is a parent stock unit with Kalinga brown parent with a capacity of 1500 birds.

UNIT-II is a parent stock unit with kalinga brown parent with a capacity of 1500 birds.

GROWER UNIT- with a capacity to grow 2000 birds up to 3 months old at a time.

BROODER UNIT- with a capacity for brooding of 3000 birds at a time, equipped with gas brooder & electric brooder.

PULLET REARING UNIT

UNIT-I

UNIT-II

Both the units with 4400 sq. ft area of poultry sheds for production of ready to lay birds for the rural farmers for backyard farming as well as urban commercial poultry farming for egg production. The production capacity of the plant is 1200 kg per hour for mesh feed.

HATCHERY UNIT

Hatchery with 10,000 egg setting capacity at a time with a provision of expansion up to 40,000 egg setting capacity.

FEED PLANT

Is a semi automatic feed manufacturing plant with the components of grinder, screw elevator, horizontal mixture along with storage capacity of 40 metric ton.

LABORATORIES

Laboratories with necessary equipments for in-house disease diagnosis and feed analysis.

TRAINING CUM EXTENSION CENTRE

Facility for capacity building of SHG’s, individual entrepreneurs and Co-operative societies for commercial layer farming, feed manufacturing, poultry meat production and processing. Provides assistance for planning in farming, technical services, farm inputs and implements, marketing support, credit linkages etc. TAAS from IFC-SEDF of world bank group has been initiated for entrepreneurship development programme.

VETERINARY AID CUM COUNSELLING CENTRE

A regular counseling desk by experience veterinarian is going on for necessary technical and veterinary aid services relating to all groups of livestock and poultry.
